Squeeze casting process

Squeeze casting is a hybrid manufacturing technique that combines diecasting and forging methods. This process is based on injecting molten metal (or composite material) into a metal mold and applying high pressure throughout the solidification phase. The pressure applied during solidification feeds shrinkage cavities and forms a finer-grained microstructure. As a result, improvements in mechanical properties, increased wear resistance, and enhanced surface quality are achieved.
